Be Patient

You may be going through the worst time of your life, but don’t worry, trust me, everything is going to be alright. Be patient.

Ella

a patient mother

Cows like me are almost always associated with dairy and nothing else. Such was my life.

I was bred for milk production and never had my babies nearby. Not many people understand the pain of being separated from their child right after he/she is born. As a retired milking cow, I have experienced this feeling more times than I can count. My motherly instincts longed for togetherness.

Bonding time and motherhood was never a part of my life, though I bore many calves

I strived to extend my care when I was fortunately sent to Rasta Sanctuary. Though I am motherly to other animals in the Sanctuary, I also had a gut feeling that I was going to have a chance to be a mother!

I waited patiently, and then one day Eddie was surrendered and joined me at the sanctuary! Now, finally, I can be a mother.

The RASTA Calendar 2020 is crafted with love by a total of 7 volunteers from 3 different organisations, RASTA, Mystic Lights, and Vyugam Business Consulting & Climate Emergency Solutions, who are experts in their area of work. We would like to take a moment to thank each one of them as well as the residents of RASTA for sharing their love and wisdom with all of us.
